“A Message from the Principal”
Dear Parents and Friends,
As the new principal of Community Christian School, it is my sincere pleasure and honor to serve as a member of this great school community. Community Christian School has a history of academic excellence that is a result of driven students, excellent teachers and staff, and a great partnership with parents. This close-knit school family is one of many reasons why CCS produces students who become positive contributors to their communities, families, and churches. I am grateful and excited that God opened the door for me to serve Him as a member of the CCS family.
Before coming to Community Christian School, my professional career included being a high school and elementary special education teacher in the Fort Dodge School District for many years as well as for a virtual school in Iowa. I have spent the last few years teaching educators for several different universities online.
I’m extremely proud to serve as the principal because CCS has been dear to my heart for many years. Recently, I have been involved in various capacities including serving as a board member, helping the school gain —- accreditation, and watching my children grow both academically and spiritually due to the devotion and skills of their teachers at CCS. I also have wonderful memories of attending CCS from 3rd grade through 8th grade. I remember coming to school every day and appreciating the peaceful and safe school environment, learning from loving teachers who genuinely knew me on a personal level, and building lifelong relationships with loving friends who accepted me. Most importantly, I was introduced to the most valuable treasure that became the foundation upon which my life was built: a God who loves me, who died for me, who conquered death for ME, and who desires a personal relationship with me. I was taught at CCS how to use the Bible as my guide for life decisions because life gets hard, it can be painful, and is not easy for all of us. I’m excited to have the chance to be apart of CCS, not only as an alumnus and parent, but also now as a principal.
One of my greatest initiatives as the principal of CCS is to provide Christian leadership that will facilitate a school environment that provides differentiated instruction in order to meet the unique needs of each student. Community Christian’s God-centered education program must be academically challenging, engage each student by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experience, and also be exciting enough to promote further exploration of ideas. Parents, teachers, staff, and administration are all in strategic positions to encourage the children of CCS to become proactive learners and leaders.
By promoting a close and collegial partnership with everyone associated with Community Christian School, I am confident that we can make our school an even better place for our students to learn and grow both academically and spiritually.
I am excited to meet and partnership with each of you,
Dr. Angila Moffitt
